MY kitchen……..

I thought I’d let you see part of my kitchen… as you might notice.. I like things a bit oldfashioned….

This is a nice(?) mix of old and new.

And I just love the black iron pieces… (I couldn’t figure out what that is called in english)

In the picture below… I tried to design my own style… I wanted it to look like an oldfashioned fireplace….

We had to hire an old handyman to build this part for us… and I think he did a good job.. at least I got it like I wanted it..

I like my kitchen… and I am very satisfied with this part of it… ONLY wish it was a little bigger.. BUT we have plans… one day we WILL make it bigger…. :-) Really looking forward to that.. in the meantime.. I am happy here…

I can understand why you're happy in your cheerful kitchen. Good job!

BTW: The English you are looking for is "wrought iron."

Hi Monica, I know what you mean. I'm a red & yellow person and usually not a blue person either. My blue transferware has been in a cabinet for a couple of years. I got it out for a post, but it looks so nice on the dining table that I've left it out. It was nice change after all the xmas decorations were put away. Good think I kept it, huh? ♥ Diane
